BYOD

“Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) refers to students bringing a personally-owned device to school for the purpose of learning. A personally owned device is any technology device brought into the school and is owned by a student or the student’s family. There are different models of BYOD to suit FUNCTIONALITY and COST. Warilla High School has chosen a range of BYOD models that will meet the needs of students and their families according to these two values. Warilla High School students will be asked to bring their own laptop to school. The laptop must be able to connect to the school WiFi network and have specific software or apps installed to assist students in learning in the 21st Century.
