POP (Parents Online Payments)

POP Has Arrived at Warilla High School!


What is POP? Parents Online Payments

What does this mean? Parents can now make all Warilla HS payments for excursions, library payments, school contribution, performances, school camp, sport etc on a secure Westpac site, directly into WHS bank account.

Why use this method? You can make payments at a time that suits you, it is secure and easy to use. You don't have to send your credit card details, cash or cheque with your child. You will receive your receipt straight away, no need to leave your house!

What do I need to use POP? A Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card and internet access.

Where do I start to make a payment? Simply go to the Warilla HS website ( http://www.warilla-h.schools.nsw.edu.au ) and click on the $ Make a payment link (under the menu bar) and follow the instructions. What else will I need? Your child's name and date of birth and a description of what you are paying for, you don't need to know your child's student number as we don't use this feature.

What if I have more than 1 child to pay for? You must process a payment for each child individually, however you can pay for multiple items at once ( eg. maths, english and school contribution in one transaction )

FAQ

Why do I need to enter Date of Birth?

In some schools there are students with the same name in the same year. The date of birth assists the school in distinguishing which student the payment relates to.

 

Why do I have to enter the student's details each time I make a payment, isn't it stored in the system?

When you make a payment you are in a secure Westpac website, for privacy and security of data no student details are maintained within the Westpac site. You must enter the details with each payment.

 

The screen keeps displaying the data I have just completed, it is not moving on?

Scroll through the whole screen, any errors will be shown in RED, you cannot progress until you resolve the error.

 

Why can't I deposit directly to the school's bank account?

A direct deposit does not give the school any details as to what you are paying for. Schools can have students with the same name and it is difficult to distinguish which student the payment relates to.

 

Why can't I use BPay?

BPay only allows a total amount to be paid, payers are not able to select particular items to pay.

I don't want the school to see my credit card details

The credit card details are masked on any reports the school will receive. eg. 411111xxxxxx4111

 

Can I use a debit card or PayPal for payments?

Payments can only be made using Visa or MasterCard credit or debit cards. American Express, Diners Club or EFTPoS cards are not accepted. PayPal is not a payment option using this process.

If a payer only has an EFTPoS debit card then the schools EFTPoS terminal or cash are alternate methods of payment.

 

I have made a payment in error, how can I cancel it?

Contact the school and request that they cancel the transaction. This can be the same day that the transaction was processed or at a later date.
